Blackfriars Bridge

GVE provided a commercial manager and two senior quantity surveyors on the redevelopment of this site from 2008-2011. The project included redevelopment of the existing station to provide new stations on the North and South banks of the Thames including an integral bridge structure over the river.

 

Works included procurement and management of the bridge steelwork subcontractor including; administration of materials vesting, payments for fabrication off site, assessment of variations, loss and expense claims and extension of time requests. GVE also provided a dispute avoidance team to manage change accounts and loss and expense claims on a number of problem packages.
