Steve has worked in the Industry as a Commercial Consultant for 24 years.  In 2005 Steve became a founding Partner of GVE Commercial Solutions offering a range of commercial services to national and international clients within the construction industry.   Since graduating with arbitration qualifications Steve has worked on a wide range of projects requiring legal interpretation including acting as an advocate witness, preparation of adjudication submissions, advising clients on international arbitration procedures, examination of detailed claim documentation and production of bespoke contract suites containing main and subcontracts.  Steve has also worked as commercial manager taking commercial leads for many of his clients.

Paul has worked in the construction industry since 1983. Alan is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 30 years of practical commercial experience serving clients, main contractors and subcontractors on many major contract projects.  His experience includes such issues as interim valuations, final accounts, loss and/or expense preparation, negotiation/settlement of difficult accounts, quantum/delay analysis, management of dispute resolution procedures, claims and counter claims, preparation of insurance claims/advice, contractual analysis and interpretation.  He has managed and prepared documentation to support claims for extension of time and quantum which has also involved the assessment of liabilities in respect of design.

Other work has included pre-contract assessment of proposed contract documentation and identifying the pitfalls and opportunities in amended standard forms.  In addition Alan has provided advice and opinion in respect of contract rights and obligations in respect of design liability, delay, extensions of time and quantum. This role has also included the management of GVE teams in the preparation of tender documentation and tenders for a national contractor.

Alan has also sat as an adjudicator for disputes under the 'Housing Grants Construction and Regeneration Act 1996.
